Thomas’ Missionary Journeys

The Apostle Thomas is widely known as “Doubting Thomas” because, when after the resurrection of the Lord, by his disbelief he ended up strengthening the Faith of the Church. After Pentecost, to Thomas fell the lot to go to the East, to the lands of the Brahmans in India.

Jerusalem: Begins

India: Andrapolis – There was a wedding there where the Apostle converted the bride and groom and miracles occurred.

Kingdom of Gundafor

Jerusalem: For the death and burial of Mary.

India: Presumably overland, through Parthia, and Persia (modern Iraq)

Mylapore: There he worked many miracles and was miraculously exonerated from a false accusation of murder, among many other Apostolic acts.

Kalamida region: Worked miracles, healed diseases, raised the dead, etc. He also converted and baptized Tertiana the Queen, much to the consternation of the King

Mylapore: Returns there and is martyred in 72 AD.
